COMET SET RELOCATED The Rail Motor Society has taken advantage of the Rail Transport Museum's relocation of the Comet Set from the outside road at The Depot for future construction work.
PROVISION OF SERVICING PIT The Rail Motor Society is installing a servicing pit in the shed. The shed tracks on the Brisbane end of No.1 and No. 2 roads have been removed and certain vehicles have been relocated while construction takes place. Operational vehicles, CPH No. 1 and CPH No. 7 will be serviced on Number 3 road until the service pit construction is completed.
402 GETS PAMPERED Rail Motor 402 used by the State Rail Authority (SRA) for Radio Testing throughout the state of New South Wales has arrived back at the Rail Motor Society's Depot at Paterson for a well deserved rest. While 402 is resting in the Depot, the Society has decided to carry out some cosmetic work to ensure 402 looks it's best when it returns to the radio testing duties in the New Year.
CPH 3 PROGRESS REPORT Steady progress on the restoration of CPH No. 3 continues to the extent that the electrical work must now be intergrated with the body restoration activity. Many thanks are offered to the Rail Motor Society Ladies Committee who handed over a further $2,000.00 which will greatly assist the restoration. Any donation is greatly appreciated as it assist in bringing back to life this wonderous machine.
SYDNEY TO NOWRA TOUR A SUCCESS The recent tour by the Australian Railway Historical Society (AHRS) from Sydney to Nowra on the 4th and 5th of December, 1999, was a success and a full details will be provided in the next newsletter.
